The New York Video Game Critics Circle (NYVGCC) has announced that The New York Game Awards is officially returning for its 16th show at the SVA Theatre in Manhattan on January 19, 2027, and IGN will be streaming the whole thing on our website and YouTube channels.
The 2027 New York Game Awards will be hosted by gaming and tech content creator Lara Lunardi and TV personality and former ESPN anchor Arda Ocal, and NYVGCC co-founder and president Harold Goldberg, former Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aimé, and NYVGCC executive dirrector Ryan O’Callaghan will also be in attendance.
If you wish to see the awards show in person, you can buy tickets through Humanitix for $85, and there will also be a limited number of $100 VIP tickets that will get you preferred seating and access to the after-party presented by New Blood Interactive.
Proceeds from the New York Game Awards support NYVGCC’s Playing with Purpose writing program, which “brings comprehensive classes and workshops in journalism and game narrative writing to schools and shelters across New York City.”
“The New York Game Awards is our way of paying homage to our New York roots while recognizing the heart and soul of our industry by spotlighting game studios of all sizes,” Goldberg said. “We have a really great lineup this year, and we’re incredibly grateful to have Lara and Arda join us to host our awards show. We know their energy will bring a great dynamic to our yearly festivities.”
More details about the upcoming New York Game Awards show will be released at a future date, including who will be the Andrew Yoon Legend Award recipient and info on a surprise post-awards musical performance.
