LEGO has officially revealed the LEGO Icons Bookstore: Book Nook, which is set to release on October 1. At 1,690 pieces, it’s the largest book nook LEGO has released to date and is an 18+ set stacked with tiny details.
In addition to being the largest LEGO Book Nook so far, this set is also the first one completely disconnected from any sort of outside IP. There’s no Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings theme attached here, just a lovely little bookstore you can fit into your own personal library.

LEGO has been getting more into book nooks since June 2025, when they released multiple sets at once. The company has had a distinct advantage over other book nook brands in that they have been able to create officially licensed sets based on popular franchises. That includes the Harry Potter Hogwarts Express book nook as well as the Lord of the Rings Balrog scene. While this new set is a departure from the usual strategy, it’s more in line with what you can find in the wider book nook market.
Despite being unattached to any sort of IP, this book nook is the most expensive build so far. At $149.99, what you’re mostly paying for is all of the extra pieces and subtle references to popular literature. In addition to the book nook itself, you also get two minifigures representing an author and a reader. The set isn’t representative of any popular bookstores, but it does evoke the sort of classy and cozy vibe you’d expect from your local bookshop.
More LEGO Book Nooks
LEGO has released a variety of book nooks and bookends since last year, all of which are quite enjoyable to put together. I myself had the chance to build the LEGO Wicked bookends and had a blast doing it. These sets are a great example of how an adult set can be both functional and fun at the same time.
